چکیده

The spiral lifecycle is being extended to address new challenges for Software-Intensive Systems of Systems (SISOS), such as coping with rapid change while simultaneously assuring high dependability. A hybrid plan-driven and agile process has been outlined to address these conflicting challenges with the need to rapidly field incremental capabilities. A system dynamics model has been developed to assess the incremental hybrid process and support project decision-making. It estimates cost and schedule for multiple increments of a hybrid process that uses three specialized teams. It considers changes due to external volatility and feedback from user-driven change requests, and dynamically re-estimates and allocates resources in response to the volatility. Deferral policies and team sizes can be experimented with, and it includes tradeoff functions between cost and the timing of changes within and across increments, length of deferral delays, and others. Both the hybrid process and simulation model are being evolved on a very large scale incremental project and other po-

Spiral Increment Reuse (SIR) Software Model

The success or failure of any project is very largely depends on its SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) model. In this paper a new software development lifecycle model is designed using incremental spiral lifecycle model with software reuse concept. The proposed model is designed in such a way that it combines the capability of spiral and incremental model with reusability. The software dev...

Assessing hybrid incremental processes for SISOS development

New processes are being assessed to address modern challenges for Software-Intensive Systems of Systems (SISOS), such as coping with rapid change while simultaneously assuring high dependability. A hybrid agile and plan-driven process based on the spiral lifecycle has been outlined to address these conflicting challenges with the need to rapidly field incremental capabilities in a value-based f...

Conductivity Coefficient Modeling in Degenerate and Non-Degenerate Modes on GNSs

Carbon nanoscrolls (CNSs) with tubular structure similar to the open multiwall carbonnanotube have been of hot debate during recent years. Due to its unique property, Graphene Nanoscroll (GNS) have attracted many research groups’ attention and have been used by them. They specially studied on energy storage devices such as batteries and super capacitors. These devices can be schematically...

Advanced Dynamic Simulation of Membrane Desalination Modules Accounting for Organic Fouling

A reliable dynamic simulator (based on a sound process model) is highly desirable for optimizing the performance of individual membrane modules and of entire desalination plants. This paper reports on progress toward development of a comprehensive model of the complicated physical-chemical processes occurring in spiral wound membrane (SWM) modules, that accounts for the...

Rollback-based Parallel Discrete Event Simulation by Using Hybrid State Saving

KEYWORDS Parallel discrete event simulation, hybrid state saving , rollback-recovery mechanisms, performance evaluation. ABSTRACT Optimistically synchronized parallel discrete event simulators must sometimes undo, by rolling back parts of the system state, the erroneous over optimistic computation deriving from the decentralized management of the event list. For this reason, an essential part o...
